Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Plated app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Plated. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what happens on your account. Only claim a registration for a car you own or are entitled to use. Claims are checked by a moderator and can be removed if they turn out to be wrong.

Your content

You own the photos, build logs, posts and other content you add. You give us a licence to host, display and share it within Plated (for example in the Discover feed or a group) so the app can work. You can delete your content at any time. Only upload content you have the right to share.

Community rules

• No harassment, hate, threats or doxxing, including using someone’s reg to find or target them.
• No content that shows or encourages dangerous or illegal driving, street racing or speeding on public roads.
• No spam, scams, fake claims or impersonation.
• Spots are for cars, not people: keep faces, children and people’s homes out of shot, and never use a spot to track where someone parks or lives.
• No sexual or graphic content, and nothing illegal.

You can report content or users in the app. We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules.

Driving

Never use your phone while driving. Plated records drives automatically so you don’t have to touch it. Road and route information in the app may be incomplete or wrong; always follow the road and the law. Reminders for NCT, motor tax and insurance are a convenience, not a guarantee. Keeping your car legal is your responsibility.

Plated Pro

Plated Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, sold monthly or yearly through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Everything that is free in Plated stays free.

The service

We work hard to keep Plated running, but it is provided as is, and features may change. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses or for lost data. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

General

These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If we change them in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app first. Questions: support@driveplated.app.
